My Big Fat Indian Wedding

We had a full week of events in Mumbai for Pari and Tiffany's wedding. The first stop was Thane (about an hour and a half north of Mumbai) for a dinner that Pari's mother put together. It was in a beautiful setting with music and incredible food. The next night was the Sangeet, a night of drinking, eating (Matt had the chance to eat Goat brain!), dancing and much more drinking! We had an incredible time, Punjabi's definitely know how to party! I'm posting some images and video from that night. Saturday was the ceremony and after ceremony party where there was a group singing traditional poems and people lounging on the floor drinking and laughing. We went out with Jay and his friends on Saturday night and we saw the sun come up the next day in Mumbai. Sunday night was the wedding reception, which was the final event of the wedding.

Mumbai Madness

So we've arrived in India, our first stop being Mumbai for our friend Pari and Tiffany's wedding. We haven't explored too much but we have had a taste of Mumbai traffic. This picture fairly sums it up!

Bangers and Mashed

Cheerio! We've spent a great day in London seeing the sites and finished off the day in a pub. Nothing too crazy aside from Matt trying to hold some officer's semi...... automatic rifle. We are both completely exhausted and ready to get to India.

We're Leaving on a Jet Plane...

We've made it through security and about to board the flight. Matt only had to undergo a minor cavity check, j/k. It's hard to believe we'll be in India in 2 days...

The Last Supper

We had a great send-off from our friend's at Ryoko's. Great sushi, conversation and saki (right Samim?). We're going to miss all of you!!!!

Red Wine in a Plastic Cup

The mover's have come and gone and the apartments are both empty. Dinner was served tonight on a cardboard box and we celebrated a stressful week of packing with wine in plastic cups. Just over a year ago I was sitting in the same spot, in an empty apartment in San Francisco celebrating my move and new job with Matthew. Little did I know that we would eventually embark on a trip like this.

It seems fitting to be as we started though, in an empty apartment drinking wine out of plastic cups.
